Referred to as “Little Switzerland of America”, Ouray, Colorado is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities in Colorado and America. Nested in the San Juan Mountain range at approximately 7800ft elevation. It’s also the starting point of one of the most scenic byways in North America and one of the best bike rides in Colorado. The “Million Dollar Highway”.
Where to stay? I would first try the accommodations at the Beaumont Hotel for luxury. A beautiful historic hotel that has been totally renovated with all the modern amenities.
